Warranty Policy
Last updated: 14 June 2026
This Warranty Policy describes the strict and exclusive scope of any warranty that BOOST PRODUCTION SRL may offer in connection with its Services. It must be read together with our Terms & Conditions.
1. What is covered
We warrant only that the calibration file delivered to the Client matches the technical description we have explicitly confirmed in writing for the specific vehicle hardware (ECU manufacturer, family, hardware ID and software ID) identified by the Client at the time of the order.
2. What is NOT covered
- Any mechanical, electronic or chemical damage to the vehicle, its ECU, gearbox, turbocharger, DPF, catalyst, injectors, clutch, drivetrain, sensors, wiring or any other component.
- Loss of vehicle manufacturer warranty, extended warranty, insurance cover, leasing terms, type-approval, road-worthiness certificate (ITP/MOT) or registration.
- Any failure caused or contributed to by pre-existing wear, fault, prior modification, fuel quality, oil quality, operating conditions or operator behaviour.
- Any failure caused or contributed to by the Client, the installer or any third party during reading, flashing, wiring or operation.
- Fines, penalties, taxes, emissions or noise-test failures imposed by any public or private authority.
- Any expected or marketed power, torque, fuel-economy or drive-feel figure — all such figures are estimates from reference vehicles only and are not warranted.
- Any consequential loss — including loss of use, hire-car, towing, recovery, repair, lost profit, lost time or lost data.
- Files installed on a vehicle other than the one identified at the time of the order, or after any change to the ECU hardware/software.
3. Exclusive remedy
Where a covered defect is confirmed by us, our sole and exclusive obligation — and the Client's sole and exclusive remedy — is, at our discretion, (a) to revise or re-issue the file, or (b) to refund the price actually paid for that file. We are under no obligation to provide any other compensation.
4. Aggregate cap
In any event, the total cumulative liability of the Company under this warranty and under any other theory of liability is capped at the amount actually paid by the Client for the specific Service that gave rise to the claim, in the six (6) months preceding the event. This cap applies in contract, tort (including negligence) and any other theory of liability, save where liability cannot be excluded by mandatory law.
5. How to claim
Send a written claim to service@boostproduction.ro within 14 days of becoming aware of the defect, including: order number, ECU identification, diagnostic readout, and a full datalog of the affected condition. Claims received after 14 days, or without supporting data, are rejected.
6. Statutory rights of consumers
Where the Client qualifies as a consumer under Romanian or EU law, this Policy does not diminish any mandatory statutory right (notably under Law 449/2003 and OUG 140/2021). It limits only the Company's discretionary warranty beyond those rights.
